How Do We Manage?: Managing Wildernesses vs. BLM WSAs
(38.4 MB)
This narrated Power Point (.pptx) file briefly describes some fundamental differences in the way the BLM manages its Wilderness Study Areas versus how it manages Wilderness Areas. It is about 27 minutes long and, depending on the speed of your Internet connection, may take a while to download.
Inventory
This folder contains training materials related to BLM Manual 6310 - Conducting Wilderness Characteristics Inventory on BLM Lands, and BLM Manual 6320 - Considering Lands with Wilderness Characteristics in the BLM Land Use Planning Process. These manuals replace IM 2011-154 on the "Requirement to Conduct and Maintain Inventory Information for Wilderness Characteristics and to Consider Lands with Wilderness Characteristics in Land Use Plans." References in the training to the IM or it accompanying instructions should be taken as now referring to the BLM Manuals.
