Agassiz Wilderness
General Trip Planning Information
Call before planning a visit,218-449-4115. Access to the Agassiz Wilderness Area is limited and challenging. A key must be obtained from the Headquarters Office to drive behind locked gates to the Wilderness Area. Office Hours are 7:30a to 4:00p. Day Use Only. No fires. The hike is usually wet - call ahead for conditions. During periods of flooding access is restricted.
Recreational Opportunities
Walking, flower & bird watching, grouse and deer hunting.
Climate and Special Equipment Needs
Waterboots (knee high or hip), insect repellant or net, compass/gps.
Safety and Current Conditions
Check with office for Refuge water conditions (i.e., flooding).
