Kilauea Volcano Wilderness Runs
What: WILDERNESS MARATHON - For the most advanced and hardy endurance runners, the 26.2 mile Wilderness Marathon is known as one of the "world’s toughest measured marathons." RIM RUN - The Rim Run is a beautiful 10 mile course encircling the summit caldera of Kilauea, taking runners from the volcanic extremes of desert to rainforest. KILAUEA CALDERA RUN AND WALK - The popular 5 mile Kilauea Caldera Run and the non-competitive 5 mile Kilauea Caldera Walk take participants across the caldera floor of cooled lava. Registration is required and marathon participation is limited to 225 participants.When: July 31, 2004, 6am - Wilderness Marathon, 7am - Rim Run and Kilauea Caldera Walk and Run
