What: Throughout history, artists and writers have interpreted the meaning of wilderness and in their own way contributed to the passing of the Wilderness Act. Experience the wilderness they worked to preserve on a moderately strenuous, 6-mile hike. Discover how artists became the voice for preservation as you write, draw and dream in Shenandoah’s wilderness. Cost: $40
