Introduction
The United States Congress designated the Coyote Mountains Wilderness (map) in 1990 and it now has a total of 5,100 acres. All of this wilderness is located in Arizona and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management.Description
The wilderness includes the Coyote Mountains with their rugged peaks, massive rounded bluffs, sheer cliff faces, and large open canyons. The vegetation includes paloverde, saguaro, chaparral, and oak woodlands.
