40th Anniversary Event Details

40th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act PHOTO CONTEST

What: The Caribou-Targhee National Forest has chosen to celebrate Wilderness by sponsoring a photo contest. Everyone, amateurs and professionals alike, are invited to submit high quality, matted 8 x 10 prints to be displayed at the East Idaho State Fair. Photos will be judged in four categories: People and Wilderness, Wilderness Character, Historic Photos and Scrapbook Your Wilderness Experience. Visitors to the Forest Service booth will have an opportunity to cast their vote to help select the winning entries. Top photos will be displayed at the Idaho Falls Visitor Center, Grand Targhee Resort and other venues and media articles. All participants will receive a commemorative lapel pin and Certificate of Appreciation.
When: Deadline is August 31, 2004
Where: Eastern Idaho State Fair, Blackfoot, Idaho: September 3 - 11, 2004
