Wilderness 40th Anniversary Celebration

What: From the snow-capped mountains of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness to the redrock canyons of Black Ridge Canyons Wilderness, we have much to celebrate. The passage of the Wilderness Act in 1964 guaranteed that a portion of our public landscape will stay forever wild for all Americans and future generations to enjoy. Come join us for a good cause, good music, and good people. Door prizes from REI, Patagonia and Vaida Metal Sculpting. Featuring the music of Paonia-based bluegrass band Sweet Sunny South. Food and wine will be available for purchase. Please bring chairs and blankets. Event held rain or shine (we have an indoor backup). There is a suggested Donation of $5 for the event. Advance donations for tickets can be made at Triple Play Records (GJ), Toys for the Fun of it (GJ) and KVNF (Paonia). Sponsored by the Colorado Environmental Coaltion with co-sponors KVNF, Chaco Sandals, Toys for the Fun of it, Grand Valley Earth Coalition and Tom Tetting of Bray & Co.
