40th Anniversary Event Details

Wild by Law Film Screening

What: Join the U.S. Forest Service in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act and the 20th Anniversary of the Utah Wilderness Act this summer. We will be presenting 3 events, in June, July and August to raise public awareness about the history and values of congressionally designated wilderness. In June we will be screening Wild By Law: The Rise of Environmentalism and the Creation of the Wilderness Act. This Academy Award nominated documentary chronicles the evolution of American attitudes towards wilderness from the early 20th century to the passage of the Wilderness Act in 1964. The screening is free and open to the public.
When: June 22, 2004, 7-8:30pm
