40th Anniversary Event Details

Perspectives on the Values of Wilderness

What: Join the US Forest Service for the second in a three-part series of events celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act. In July we are proud to present three speakers presenting perspectives on the values of wilderness. Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson will discuss the value of wilderness to urban residents, Wayne Padgett, Wasatch-Cache National Forest Ecologist will discuss ecological values, and poet, artist and teacher Margaret Pettis will inspire us to appreciate the intangible values of wilderness to the heart, psyche and spirit. This event is free and open to the public.
